To my loved ones left behind in the event I disappear without trace, along with others of our family, and millions of other Christians around the world.

I want you to know I always have loved, and still love, you. I am with Jesus and he is not far away. I am saddened that you are still here to read this and not with me, because there will be very rough times ahead. I leave you my most precious possessions; my Bibles. Please read them because the answers to what has happened to me and [Matthew 24:36-44] what is to come [Ezekiel 38 and 39] are in that book.

Seek Jesus the Christ; follow Him and Him alone. Make him your God, your Saviour. Look for the signs of the times, this disappearance one of the first and a herald of those to come.

Whatever you do, don't accept any kind of mark/symbol/chip on your hand or forehead.

Accept it and you will be condemning yourself forever; I will never be able to see you again
Reject it and instead put your faith in Jesus Christ to supply all your needs - then we will see each other again. Life will be difficult and you will not be able to buy or sell a thing, so it will be sorely tempting. But please don't accept it. It just isn't worth it. Hang onto the good.

Knees Up

Three months ago I had an ACL reconstruction on my right knee. During the surgery my kneecap fractured while taking the patellar tendon graft, so they screwed it together again. I was going great guns with my physio, and was even driving my car again, had full flexion of my knee and was walking up to normal speed.

Then one week ago I fell over and broke the same kneecap but in a different place. So, here I sit, in a cast for 6 weeks and all back to square one again.

Boy, am I depressed... Thank God for LOLcats!

Last week Critter and I drove north to visit Rellies. My 2yo niece sat on her face on the lounge with her Mum, too shy of strangers to even look at us. But after a half-hour's determined campaign of peek-a-boo, and crawling around the lounge laughing, chasing and tickling Critter, Miss Two deigned to join us down there for the fun. Later, when we all went for a walk around the block to look at Christmas Lights, Miss Two held my hand and then held Critter's hand for some of the walk back.

Nice :-)

My next car didn't turn out to be a motorbike (see Little Wishes blog). It turned out to be a Disco. My 1997 Landrover Discovery SE Tdi has now been officially Baptized (read 'washed') and Christened "Matilda". Maybe sometime later this year we'll be Waltzing Matilda up to Mackay; I'm looking forward to that. May still get the motorbike one day tho'.

Control is an illusion. We go through life only happy if we feel we have control of our own destinies. But do we? Really?

I work because I need money, not because I want to. I need money because I need to eat. I need to eat because of a complex series of chemical pathways kick in to tell me my body needs input. I buy clothes because I must keep warm. Everything I do is the result of my need or somebody else's need. All it means is that everything I do is the result of meeting needs that are outside my control. Cause and Effect, like the Merovinginan said. I cannot control my own destiny - it is out of my hand.

There came the day when I gave my life to Christ, taking control from the World and giving it into the hand of The One. Much like Neo woke into the "Desert of the Real" and saw The Matrix for what it was, so I now see the World for what it is. Now I have Real Purpose, the only worthwhile Purpose, to serve The One, Christ.

That is real happiness.

My mystery amino acid sequence, Os02g19924, has been processed through: BLASTP for homologous sequences; TBLASTN for expressed sequence tags; a conserved domain search; ClustalW2 for multiple sequence alignment; ProtDist for evolutionary distances; and NEIGHBOR to produce a phylogenetic tree. SWISS-MODEL created a 3D structure for me based on 1bw0b. ANGIS was not available at the time, but MOBYLE was. ANGIS is available now, so I will have to make some comparisons with my MOBYLE's ProtDist and NEIGHBOR results. Looks like it might be Tyrosine Aminotransferase. Journal Articles were downloaded from UNE's e-Reserve and I have to go through them yet. Then I just have to write it all up... only 2000 words!

This is the first post of a new Blogger Blog. I, Koolroo, made it. I've set up Windows Live Writer (Beta) to post to it, rigged images to be saved on my FTP server, and even changed the style template to match my website. All-By-My-Self!

I had intended to spend the day studying, but spent it working out how to fax something from my notebook, setting up robot.txt and sitemap.txt files for my websites, updating my cattery website record at Selfpromotion.com and playing with Google Webmaster Tools. As iddly says, Kewl.
